I had what a nurse practioner at St. Thomas’ Hospital in London called ‘that huge bursa’ on my right knee as a direct result of falling from the top of a railway staircase when the city was inundated with a snowfall and resulting ice. I had my first Bakers Cyst about 10 years ago and unfortunately the left over patches are a bit past the used by date to treat the one I developed Tuesday night at tennis. Can’t wait for my order to arrive.

Heel bursitis

Hi Toky, the patches are starting to offer relief for my son’s heel. He is finally looking on the bright side.

Over the past month, he has had 2 drainages, 2 cortisone shots, and referred to 2 different specialists. The end result was either an operation to shave the bone, reattach the tendon and be off his game for a season…..not his option.

Swollen elbow

I am writing to sing your praises! I am not kidding. I was first diagnosed with a Baker’s cyst approximately three months ago. The pain became increasingly intense, so I finally made an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon. He explained that the cyst was most likely the result from a torn meniscus and that I would require surgery. In the meantime, my patches I had ordered arrived, so I had used five patches by the time I returned to the orthopedic surgeon for the follow up for my MTI.
